Plation In-line
Filters are designed to extract fine particles, pollutants
and bacteria from drinking water supplies, both from
storage tanks and mains water, at the point of use.
Activated carbon filtration
Combining the activated carbon and colloidal silver
provides optimum purification and protection against
water contamination and bacterial pollution.
The carbon
filtration takes out particles up 10 micron and
absorbs bacteria.
To give you an idea of the
size of a micron, 230 microns is no bigger than a
pin-prick.
Activated carbon is very effective
at improving taste, removing chlorine and many other
contaminants. It can extract up to as much as 99%
of impurities, improving taste by eliminating odours
and discolouration.
Because of the huge absorption surface of activated carbon (1 gram has a surface of approximately 1000 m2, very little carbon is needed for removing contaminants
SIlver Colloid - Chemical
free disinfection
Bacteria may continue to grow
within activated carbon filters, but Plation's silver
colloidal ceramic balls, within the filter, eliminate
bacterial growth, giving the filter a longer working
life. The filter cartridge will go on working to give
you cleaner, fresher drinking water for longer*
Stored water goes stale
Stored water can quickly become
infected by bacterial growth. it may well
already contain contaminates even if filled and supplied
from a mains water supply.
Water quality may be impaired
by impurities at any stage in its delivery to the
tap. Low levels of pollutants may still be present
after processing. Additives in the treatment process
itself, such as chlorine, even at low levels, affects the taste of the water, giving off a bad smell and may
carry health risks.
Filtration, at the point of
entry to the system or at the point of use, purifies, preserves and protects to deliver
clean, fresh and safe drinking water.
Note: Plation In-line Filters are not intended for
the purification of private water supplies, grey water
or harvested rainwater and are only intended for maintaining and improving the quality of fresh drinking water.
Replacement of the filter cartridge is based on capacity or a maximum time of 2 years, see guidance on recommended timescales of application.
