Plation Floats keep the water in your caravan's
fresh water tank clean and safe to drink

Plation Floats keep the water, in your caravan's fresh water tank, clean and safe. They provide a non-chemical purification to eliminate bacteria and stop the water becoming stale, unpleasant and potentially unsafe to drink. It uses a centuries old, simple technology - silver. Specially hardened ceramic balls are coated with colloidal silver and are packed into a plastic mesh bag with polystyrene floats to give them boyancy. The float does just that, it floats in the water slowly releasing nano silver ions, which eliminate microbial contaminants. The need for regular chemical disinfection is substantially reduced. Plation will go on keeping the potable water in your caravan or motor home clean, fresh and safe enough to drink for up to 2 years*. Plation floats come in various sizes to suit the size of tank, from 75 litresup to 15000 litres. Tank sizes and systems vary. Make sure you have the right size of float to suit your tank. Easy, straightforward installation Plation PNK Floats are usually introduced into the fresh water tank via the access hatch. But can be installed via the filler cap, provided the filler pipe and cap are wider than 34mm. The balls, packed into a flexible plastic mesh, can be pushed into the pipe and will twist through a dog-leg into the tank. Check the diameter of the pipe before installing to be sure it will fit and make sure it floats free into the tank. A cord is fixed to end of the float, which can be tied off on the inside of the filler cap so you can remove the float at the end of the season or for replacement. This should be tied to the inside of the hatch cover , or filer cap, so it is easily retrieved for replacement or at the end of the season. At the end of a season you can store the float for the following year. A dry dark place is best as the silver will oxidise in sunlight and reduce its effective life.

The normal working life of a PNS or PNK float is up to 2 years. However, when used in heavily chlorinated water this may be reduced by up to 50%. You are advised to check the float on a regular basis. If the Plation float has turned black then the silver has oxidised and is less affective and you should therefore replace it immediately. |
