Wherever you travel, fresh clean water is essential; a necessity for washing, cooking and drinking.

But stored water is vulnerable. You may have noticed that water stored in the fresh water tank of your Caravan and Motorhome becomes stale and takes on an unpleasant odour and taste. 

Plation floats and filters change all that and purify, preserve and protect stored water against possible microbial contamination. They do this by using a centuries old technique - silver.  A simple technology, but one which is extremely effective at eliminating bacteria and microbial contaminants. 

Plation Floats keep stored fresh water clean and safe

Plation floats are made up of specially hardened ceramic balls, which are coated  with colloidal silver. These are packed into a plastic mesh bag with polystyrene balls to give the float buoyancy. This allows the float to make contact with the water and release its silver ions. 

Silver is widely used as an antibacterial agent. A safe non-chemical cleaner, which stops bacterial growth. It is used for medical applications as well as in food and hygiene equipment to minimise the potential for infection. 

Plation Filters extract contaminants and pollutants

Optimum purification is achieved with a combination of Floats and Filters. Plation filters differ from standard activated carbon filters, as they include the same unique silver ceramic spheres used in the floats.
 
Activated carbon is very effective at adsorping and extracting dust and particles from water, as well as microbial contaminants and such things as pesticides.  

Activated carbon has an enormous capacity for adsorption. But it is not infinite and the carbon can become a breading ground for bacteria and viruses. Plation's silver content eliminates the bacteria and stops it from growing in the carbon. The result is a longer, more effective working life for the filter.
